Medine
Yoga Teacher
Medine’s yoga journey began in her teenage years, when a teacher’s gentle reminder to “relax the jaw” sparked a profound shift within her. From that moment, yoga became a guiding force in her life.
Throughout university and her career as a banker, yoga served as a sanctuary — a space to unwind, reconnect, and step away from the demands of the corporate world. After more than a decade of practice, she completed her teacher training in Melbourne in the early 2000s. While the Melbourne yoga scene often emphasised achievement and progression, Medine felt an especially deep connection with the Prenatal Mamas — a community embodying both gentleness and strength.
Later, as a mother herself, Medine stepped back from teaching to focus on her own practice and to further her studies in yoga nidra, prenatal, and postnatal yoga. This period became a grounding and expansive chapter in her journey.
When the world slowed during COVID, Medine and her son relocated from Melbourne to the Northern Rivers, where she discovered Free Flow Yoga. Since then, she has cherished the opportunity to teach and share within the Murwillumbah community.
In 2025, Medine became co-owner of Free Flow, where she continues to nurture a space of health, connection, and vitality alongside Gopali.
